Quarter Summary

The GGR for the quarter was € 185.55 million, which implies a decline of -3.23% quarter over quarter and -2.06% year over year.

Regarding the rest of the main figures, deposits and withdrawals of the players, their variation rates increase in relation to the previous quarter. Marketing expenditure has a strong increase 37.34% quarter over quarter and new accounts experiences a growth both with respect to the same quarter of the previous year and with respect the previous quarter, with the detail shown in Table 1.

In the analysis of the GGR by game segments it is observed that:

The € 185.55 million of GGR are distributed among € 89.95 million in Betting (48.48%); € 2.67 million in Bingo (1.44%); € 72.29 million in Casino (38.96%); € 0.61 million in Contests (0.33%) and € 20.04 million in Poker (10.80%).

The betting segment has a decreasing rate of -10.74% quarter over quarter and of -10.23% year over year. There is a diminution of -20.39% in In-played sportsbook an -4.09% in pre-match with respect to the previous quarter.

Bingo has experienced a fall of -16.02% quarter over quarter and -24% year over year.

In the casino segment there has been a growth of 8.56% quarter over quarter and an annual variation rate of 11.72%. This growth is mainly due to the slots.  Since its launch in 2015 slots has led to increasingly higher market shares of the casino (see Table 2).

The contests experienced a drop of -16.25% in this quarter and a growth of 260.26% in the annual variation rate. This segment exhibits an irregular behaviour with annual variation rates in the fourth quarter of 6.44% in 2016;  -27.51% in 2017; -89.43% in 2018. The overall result is that the market share of this segment with respect to the rest is decreasing.

The poker presents this quarter an diminution of -2.41% over the previous quarter and -4% year over year. The decreasing is mainly due to poker tournament that registers a negative quarterly variation rate of -2.47%.

As a summary, the percentage distribution of the GGR for the different segments in this quarter of the period from 2016 to 2019 is shown in Table 2.

Marketing spending has been € 112.97 million in the last quarter, with an annual growth of 15.98% and broken down into € 10.88 million affiliation expenses; € 5.82 million sponsorship; promotions € 39.51; and advertising € 56.76 million. There has been a variation of 37.34% quarter over quarter, motivated by the increase of advertising (60.08%) and promotions (24.52%).

The monthly average of active game accounts is 972.724, which implies a growth of 13.33% year over year. The monthly average of the new game accounts is 301.432, with an annual increase of 18.54%.
